Emeritus Professor Akinjide Oladepo Idowu Osuntokun PhD, OON (1942 - ) is a semi-retired academic, diplomat and author from from Okemesi, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He is the youngest sibling of Benjamin Oluwakayode Osuntokun, and therefore often known as Abidakun, denoting the last born.
Education
[edit]He had his primary and secondary education at the Holy Trinity School, Ilawe Ekiti, the Emmanuel School, Ado Ekiti and Christ's School Ado Ekiti. After finishing his secondary education, he studied history at the University of Ibadan. He participated in an exchange programme with University of London, spending his second year studying at the School of Oriental & African Studies and Queen Mary College. He studied for his PhD at Dalhousie University.
