Datuk Lee Chong Wei is a famous badminton player from Malaysia. He was born on 21 October 1982, in Bagan Serai, Perak. Lee is famous for his amazing skill and speed in badminton. He has won many awards and is seen as one of the best players in the world.

Lee has held the world number one ranking for a long time and has won numerous medals in international competitions. His achievements include winning three silver medals at the Olympics in 2008, 2012, and 2016. He is also a multiple-time winner at the All England Open Badminton Championships and the BWF World Championships.

Besides his sports career, Lee is admired for his dedication and hard work. He retired from professional badminton in 2019 after a successful career. After he retired, he has worked on different charity projects and kept promoting badminton.

Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad expressed his gratitude to Lee for his contributions to Malaysia, especially after Lee's retirement announcement. In a video posted on social media, Mahathir said he was moved by Lee's decision to retire and hoped Lee would take time to rest and recover from his illness. He praised Lee for consistently bringing honor to Malaysia in the sports world and noted that the country would feel the loss of such a great champion.[1]
