Early life

[edit]

Coming out of high school, Savaiinaea was rated as a three star recruit, where he also held offers from schools such as Arizona, Arizona State, UCF, Hawaii, Syracuse, San Diego State and UNLV.[1] Ultimately, Savaiinaea decided to commit to play college football for the Arizona Wildcats.[2][3]

College career

[edit]

During Savaiinaea's true freshman season in 2022, he would play in and start all 12 games are right guard for the Wildcats.[4] For his performance in the 2022 season, Savaiinaea was named to the FWAA freshman all-American team, and was named a honorable mention all Pac-12 selection.[5] However heading into the 2023 season, Savaiinaea would transition from playing right guard to right tackle.[6] During the season though, Savaiinaea would play both right guard and tackle.[7] Savaiinaea finished the 2023 season, starting all 13 games for Arizona.[8] For his performance in 2023, Savaiinaea was once again named a honorable mention all Pac-12 selection.[9]
