Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | To support encyclopedic discussion of this work in this article. The illustration is specifically needed to support the following point(s): A superhero without any form of superpowers, Iron Man's armor is what gives the character his "powers" and has often been the subject of discussion in secondary and academic sources, with many designs noticeably different from one another. The nature of Iron Man's costume being a powered armor allows artists to make constant changes to it without arousing controversy, unlike with other superheroes; the frequent changes to suit also reflect the character's nature as a futurist and working in tandem with scientific advances. The consistency of his armors being form-fitting also reflects their status as a shield that protects Iron Man from both external and internal dangers. A single image featuring many of them together helps showcase the similarities that exist despite their differences. |
