David Bodanis (sündinud Chicagos Illinoisis[1]) on ameerika päritolu Briti teaduskirjanik.
Ta õppis Chicago Ülikoolis matemaatikat, füüsikat ja ajalugu.[1] Lõpetas ülikooli bakalaureusekraadiga. Elas kümmekond aastat Prantsusmaal[1], kus töötas muuhulgas ajalehes International Herald Tribune väliskorrespondendina. 1980. aastate lõpul kolis Londonisse, kus elab tänini.
Bodanis on teinud kaastööd ajalehtedele Financial Times, The Guardian ja The New York Times.[1] Tema 2001. aastal ilmunud menuk "E=mc²: A Biography of the World's Most Famous Equation" tõlgiti 28 keelde.[1]
