Early life

Timothy McSharry Huber was born in New York City, New York, U.S.A. on October 7, 2005. He lived in the New York borough of Queens for the entirety of his early life.

He is the son of an Irish-American mother and an American father who is of Irish, British Isles, German, French Canadian, and Swedish descent. He has stated that all four of his maternal great-grandparents were Irish immigrants who settled in New York City during the early 1900s and his maternal grandparents were the first generation of their families to be born in the United States. Three of these ancestors were from the Connacht province and the fourth was from or from around Dublin. He has stated that his father's family is a more intricate combination of older and recent immigrants from various places that settled in Indiana, where his father was born and raised, at varying points in time, with the greatest portion of his father's ancestors being Irish.

Huber was raised and remains a practicing Catholic.

He first started making music using GarageBand in the seventh grade and began using FL Studio during his freshman year of high school. After switching to FL he would learn various music skills including music theory, music production, how to play keyboard instruments, how to compose music and lyrics, vocals, and audio engineering. Between seventh grade and the end of his senior year of high school between the years 2017 to 2023 he released music under a variety of aliases across different internet platforms and streaming services. He began using the Ghost Blade name as his primary musical alias in late 2023.

Career

Initial work as Ghost Blade (2024)

The first album he released as Ghost Blade was a project called Ignite that was released on January 3, 2024. Throughout 2024 he released a total of 7 albums, releasing 6 projects spanning a wide range of genres and styles. He has stated that this period of projects was a "trial run" for him to develop his skills as a musician as it allowed him to experiment with many different styles of music and many different aspects of making music.

The final album he released in 2024 is called Cobalt, which was released on December 1, 2024. The album was also the longest project he released during the year, consisting of 20 different songs.

Upcoming Work (2025)

Ghost Blade announced that he will concurrently begin working on two different albums in December of 2024 and plans to release them sometime in early 2025.

Life outside of music

Outside of music, he has stated that one of his interests has been training in different kinds of martial arts/hand-to-hand combat. He has stated that he studied numerous kinds of striking combat styles between the ages of 7 and 14 between late 2013 to early 2020, with these being karate, kickboxing, and boxing. Between 2020 and 2024, he largely did not actively practice any martial arts due to focusing on other sports, academics, and his music. He has stated that he resumed training in the spring of 2024 in his first year of university after a friend he met there taught him the basics of BJJ and grappling. He stated that he began to relearn striking and kickboxing techniques over that summer and upon his return in the fall of 2024, he formally began learning grappling in a martial arts gym in the vicinity of his university while continuing to train with his friend, who he would also begin learning judo from as well and would also fight in pseudo-mixed martial arts rules where they would use various martial arts, which allowed him to practice striking against an opponent again.

He enrolled in Loyola University New Orleans in 2023 and is planned to graduate in 2027.
