Early life

Timothy McSharry Huber was born in New York City, New York, U.S.A. on October 7, 2005. He lived in the New York borough of Queens for the entirety of his early life.

He is the son of an Irish-American mother and an American father who is of Irish, British Isles, German, French Canadian, and Swedish descent. He has stated that the majority of his maternal Irish ancestry is from the Connacht province and also has a great-grandparent from the Dublin area. All four of his maternal great-grandparents were Irish immigrants who settled in New York City during the early 1900s. His maternal grandparents were the first generation of his mother's family to be born in the United States. He has stated that his father's side is a more complex combination of recent and older immigrants to the United States from various places, with the greatest portion of his father's ancestors coming from Ireland, with his paternal grandmother having an Irish maiden name. Huber was raised and remains a practicing Catholic. His confirmation name is his father's first name, which he states was inspired by his father's own confirmation name being the first name of his father/Huber's paternal grandfather.

Huber first started making music using GarageBand in the seventh grade and began using FL Studio during his freshman year of high school. After switching to FL he would learn various music skills including music theory, music production, how to play keyboard instruments, how to compose music and lyrics, vocals, and audio engineering. Between seventh grade and the end of his senior year of high school between the years 2017 to 2023 he released music under a variety of aliases across different internet platforms and streaming services. He began using the Ghost Blade name as his primary musical alias in late 2023.

Life outside music

Outside of music, he has stated that one of his interests has been training in different kinds of martial arts/hand-to-hand combat. He has stated that he studied numerous kinds of striking combat styles between the ages of 7 and 14 between late 2013 to early 2020, with these being karate, kickboxing, and boxing and took a four year hiatus from the age of 14 to 18 between early 2020 and mid 2024. He has stated that he resumed training in the spring of 2024 in his first year of university after a friend he met there taught him the basics of BJJ and grappling. He stated that he began to relearn striking and kickboxing techniques over the summer and upon his return in the fall of 2024, he formally began learning grappling in a martial arts gym in the vicinity of his university while continuing to train with his friend, who he would also begin learning judo from as well as fighting against each other in a pseudo-MMA fashion where he was able to start using his striking techniques again in a live situation.
