Arushi Talwar Speedy deletetion

According to :-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:BIO http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:N#General_notability_guideline

"Presumed" means that substantive coverage in multiple independent reliable sources establishes a presumption, not a guarantee, of notability. Editors may reach a consensus that although a topic meets this criterion, it is not suitable for inclusion. For example, it may violate what Wikipedia is not.Anmol.2k4 (talk) 09:36, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is already an ongoing debate over Media trial / Media Harassment seen in this case.

Just curious ...

Just curious ... why bother reverting and protecting User talk:68.13.151.71, especially since WP:USER allows people to remove messages from their talk page as they choose? --Kralizec! (talk) 03:40, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the speedy reply on my talk page. While I see your point, I was using the old technique where you give `em just enough rope to hang themselves (which is how I ended up blocking the IP in question for six weeks last time). --Kralizec! (talk) 15:02, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just wondering if you could explain what you did to the page Greg Dobbs. I don't see anything wrong with the page at all and am not pointing fingers... I just don't understand what happened that it needed to be deleted and then reinstated. If you could just give me a quick overview, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! How-To query

Hi Disco. Hope you're not getting too much of the mopsy-mayhems since getting the janitor hat :) So then - there I was, looking at Birmingham-Southern College (for some reason) and noticed that none of the rankings and ratings etc claimed for the place have any citations or links. I've put a note re. on the Talk Page and threatened to add one of those box-things to the article which says it needs its facts cited. Please would you direct me to where I can find out how to get this done? To be frank, I'm not usually bothered enough about this kind of thing to get involved (unless its an subject I happen to know about or have a connection to) but this is a college and such claims may well be read by impressionable prospective alumni. Furthermore, its rather telling that no-one at the place seems to have either noticed or bothered... Anyway, thanks! Plutonium27 (talk) 03:42, 23 June 2008 (UTC) Yep, those are just the pages I wanted, thanks for the links. I think I should give it a few days, for the talkpage msg to get seen and acted on - I guess thats the etiquette? Looking through US college/uni articles, I'd noticed before that these annual rankings by media/business/ed groups etc are nearly always included and so matter quite considerably to the insitutions themselves, and to prospective students (and those that pay for them). I'd expect the resultant public image to be part of the influences for endowments and grants in some way too. So if they're gonna flaunt 'em, they can bloody well back them up and all! No problem:-) I have seen you in the recent changes a lot lately, and you have beaten me to vandalism many times. Vandalism ruins the reputation of vandalism, and it is important to get it out of articles right away. For vandalism to be taken out right away, you need to have people dedicated to cleaning up vandalism, like you. I appreciate your work here:-)--SJP (talk) 03:02, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be appropriate to place a temporary block on Buttock augmentation and Medical tourism to break the cycle of link spamming? I'm not sure the user is seeing the warnings posted on the various IP talk pages he's using or looking at any of the edit summary comments, but I don't know if blocking anonymous edits would help encourage the user to register and read. Thanks. Flowanda | Talk 19:30, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks...perhaps having to register will help create a discussion rather than just getting blacklisted. And couldn't resist the edit summary. :) Flowanda | Talk 06:09, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Intrepidity

Hi Spinster,

I have read your reason for deleting intrepidity and I have read the guideline you cited, however I do not see how it is relevant. Intrepidity is neither an implausible typo, link, nor misnomer. It is a real word that is commonly used in the English language. If you type the word into the search bar, you will find plenty of articles which use the word in context. The fact that links to the article are referring to a horse simply means that those links should be switched to link to Intrepidity (horse). Someone typing "intrepidity" into the search bar should be able to find an article on the subject, and that article is the courage article. This really is a valid redirect. Would you consent to recreating it?

Dear Discospinster,

Thank you for reverting the edits by vandals on Kamma (caste) page. Pacific Energy and Mining

I guess you deleted my article on this company. I had just started, as you know it takes months of hard work to complete and article, I have started numerous articles which are now edited by a lot of people, so to delete the article even before letting me finish it was kind of not quite correct. Next time I hope you will wait, especially knowing that I am an experienced editor and am quite familiar with the policies

Ah, thank you. It is indeed a custom one (though stolen from Haza-w ages ago), and that was definitely strange. I was looking to implement your fix on the template's page, but oddly enough the entire bit which you edited was different (one </div> instead of two). Actually, the district's proper name is 'Malatia Sebastia' (a Google search will verify this) [2]. 'Bangladesh' seems to be a colloquial term for the district, to describe the poverty in the city (French Wikipedia verifies this - [3]). Maybe the article should be renamed 'Malatia Sebastia'.

Agree?

Let me post the link. It is valid and if you oppose it, you are not upholding the neutrality claimed by wikipedia. The surrender of a general does not constitute the surrender of a nation.
