Uranium tribromide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula UBr3. It is radioactive.

Preparation

Uranium tribromide can be obtained by the reaction of uranium metal or uranium(III) hydride and hydrogen bromide,[1] or it can also be prepared by the thermal decomposition of NH4UBr4·1.5CH3CN·6H2O.[2]
