This church used to be the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston's Immaculate Conception church, but was reopened in January 2006 as the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox church.

History

The priest was born in Paris,France on November 10, 1753, he came to America after being ordained into the priesthood and was sent to the U.S.Father Matignon's dream was to establish a Catholic high school in the city of Boston. He was not alive to see this happen, he died in 1818. In 1945, the high school was established by Richard J. Cardinal Cushing (who was then the Archbishop of Boston).
