Multiplex (juggling)
Multiplexing is a form of toss juggling with multiple balls thrown and/or caught at one time by the same hand. Perhaps the simplest multiplex pattern is to juggle a three-ball cascade pattern with 4 balls, where two of the balls are treated like one ball, and thrown and caught together. The popular terms used for multiplex juggling include the split and stacked multiplex. A split multiplex is where two or more balls are thrown from one hand, split in the air, with balls caught in either hand. A stacked multiplex is where the balls are thrown but don't split, and then caught by the same/other hand. Other terminology include - duplex (two balls thrown/caught in one hand), triplex (three balls), and quadriplex (four balls). So, a split duplex would be where two balls are thrown from one hand, split in the air, and each ball is caught by either hand.
