Pablo Ganguli (b. November 23, 1983) is a young impresario who has created several international festivals of literature, media and culture, through his organisation, Liberatum.

Life

Ganguli was born Calcutta, India, and grew up in New Delhi, Calcutta and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. He now lives in Britain.

Ganguli founded Connect UK in Papua New Guinea in 2001. Connect UK, was the British cultural diplomacy operation in the South Pacific region. Its primary aim was to promote cultural and educational relations between Papua New Guinea and the United Kingdom.

From 2005 onwards, Ganguli commenced directing festivals in different parts of the world.

Arts in Marrakech

The Arts in Marrakech International Festival was held in Morocco in September 2005. Guests included Saadi Youssef, Charbel Dagher, Richard Branson, Esther Freud and singer Annie Lennox.

Kitab

Kitab, sponsored by The Hindustan Times, was held in India in Month, 2006. Speakers included Goldie Hawn, Clare Short MP, UN Under-Secretary General Shashi Tharoor and Yasmin Alibhai-Brown.

Majestic Petra

Majestic Petra is scheduled to be held in Petra, Jordan in April, 2007. Scheduled speakers included Hanan Al-Shaykh, Martin Amis, VS Naipaul, Vikram Seth and Germaine Greer.

Jewel of Russia

Jewel of Russia is the first British-Russian opera, literature and music festival that is scheduled to be held in St Petersburg in October 2007.

Turkish Festival

The UK-Turkish Rosewater Arts Festival scheduled to be held in Istanbul in March 2008.
