3D Realms is a computer game developer based in Garland, Texas and founded in July of 1994 as a division of Apogee Software. The company is best known for creating the computer game Duke Nukem 3D which was released in January, 1996. It is now semi-notorious for its upcoming fourth installment in the Duke Nukem series, Duke Nukem Forever, which is currently seven years into development and has missed numerous release dates.

Current products

The latest Duke Nukem, Duke Nukem Forever, will be released, according to the company, "when it's done." The 3D Realms development team was apparently understaffed at the beginning but is now picking up speed on the Duke Nukem Forever project.

The current successful title is the Max Payne sequel, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, where the original was overseen by 3D Realms.
