The Nebraska panhandle is an area in the west of the state of Nebraska. A panhandle is a narrow area jutting out from the rest of a political unit; the Nebraska Panhandle is only about half as broad as the rest of the state. It is approximately 100 miles east to west and 125 miles north to south. It comprises all Nebraskan territory roughly from 102°W westward. Notable places include:
