I just added a bunch to this article, but I need to come back and better organize it. I would also like to find some more external links to add.

I removed the following because I found some conflicting info:

"The area has its roots in a restaurant that was opened by a ex-seaman called Kame, near San Pedro and 1st streets. "

from http://www.asianweek.com/051096/LittleTokyo.html

"In 1885, the first Japanese-owned business-ironically an American-style restaurant-opened on Los Angeles Street, modern-day Little Tokyo’s westernmost border. At that time there were only about two dozen Japanese living in Los Angeles-all men. "

I am also thinking of removing the "bronzeville" (twice misspelled!) info unless I or someone else can find some documentation. [[User:GK|gK ¿?]] 17:40, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
