I'm afraid this image is used in articles under fair uses and therefore its use is not allowed on user pages. Could you remove it please?Geni 10:21, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Help desk replyI have replied to your help desk question. On another note, it may be considered poor etiquette to remove what is on your talk page. See "Can I do whatever I want to my own user talk page?". jnothman talk 00:51, 25 January 2006 (UTC) ThanksThanks for your help with the numbered list! bcatt 00:33, 27 January 2006 (UTC) DDR arrow image.I realized one thing that we neglected to consider. Instead of using a DDR arrow, we may use the aarow used in IN the Groove (or from Stepmania). As the game use MIT License, we should be able to use its images without any copyright complications. SYSS Mouse 03:00, 30 January 2006 (UTC) Medal InfoboxOh, I had already done that infobox the day before you made that! :o\ (See {{Olympic Record}}) Ahh well, I updated yours so that the olympic rings picture meshes better with the background color. I also added a {{MedalDisqualified}}, because I have seen this on rare occasions where a medal was taken away, and I believe this is significant. I wanted to add it to the talk pages, but first, I wanted to clear it through you...
Yeah, I wasn't too vocal about making it... I was just sort of playing around with it...didn't know anyone else would be too interested! Anyway, I changed the template to "Olympic Medal Record." Hope that works :o) Also, I templated all the talk pages to the {{MedalTop talk}} page. That way, if we have updates, we can just change the MedalTop page, and it can be seen from anywhere. I also added the {{MedalDisqualified}} template into the general instructions. Do you have a plan on getting this implemented throughout all the individual olympian pages? Let me know - if you have a system, I'd like to help. Don't have too much free time on my hands, but I do love the Olympics :o) tiZom(the man) 04:49, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Table FormattingHey, I was wondering if you could help me with something: I'm trying to make some results pages for some Torino events, but I'm having a little trouble with tables. I saw your little tournament template that you've got (User:Jonel/Bracket-test), and that's really advanced, so I figured you'd know this :o) If you would, take a look at this. I'd like to remove the vertical border lines surrounding the athletes' names, as well as the horizontal line that separates them. Do you know how I do that? tiZom(2¢) 00:53, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

I reverted your change that removed the {{current sport}} template from Curling at the 2006 Winter Olympics, since the Men's gold and bronze medal matches aren't until Friday February 24 2006 --rogerd 02:34, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Could you explain what happened here?

Unfortunately, like a good portion of the world, I'm still using IE6. I do know that gif's have the capability of displaying some transparencies (on all the browsers I've seen anyway. Any way you could convert it to gif for now? tiZom(2¢) 21:39, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Oh man, so there's no way to fix it with the png's? I just changed the background colors...lol. But I don't think it looks terrible... tiZom(2¢) 00:11, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Olympic RingsHi, I just have a question about the removal of the Olympic Rings from the MedalTop template. I was under the impression that this was a free image. Per the Olympic Charter, anyone is allowed to use the pictures of the rings as long as they promote the Olympic Movement, which I've no doubt this does. If you don't mind, I need to know which license I can apply to this picture so that we can use it to refer to the the Olympic committees, the Olympic Games, and Olympic athletes. Thanks for your help! tiZom(2¢) 20:41, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
medal infobox 2Hi, could you please point me to the place where you discussed adding the names of the cities to medal infobox? The other guy and I think that's not a nice thing. --Dijxtra 07:35, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
NoticeHi. On February 14, you placed an {{underconstruction}} tag on this page. You havn't made any edits since then, so unless you say otherwise, I am going to remove the tag in a few days for the convenience of other users. Thanks. --Jared [T]/[+] 21:40, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Re: Comment on WP:Olympic conventionsThank you very much for the comment. I don't want to be the person here taking in all of the glory (because I was the one who created the page, but it is you guys who made it happen), so don't get me wrong, but ever since I created the page I've heard negative feedback from people who disagreed with the outcomes, so it's nice to hear a good comment for a change. I totally agree with you that it is past its "infant" stage, so to speak, and it needs more structure and attention. What I don't want to do, though, is take over what the Wikipedia:WikiProject Sports Olympics has already set out. I think that things would get hostile if we just decided to do things our own way. I suggest letting them know what we propose to do first, and let them decide if it is right. I think sistering up with them would be our first goal...it'll get us some more needed public attention. If you have any additional ideas, feel free to voice them on my page or the olympic con. page. Thank, again! --Jared [T]/[+] 22:25, 7 March 2006 (UTC) WikiPorject Sports OlympicsWelcome to the project, Hope you enjoy your stay and can get envolved. I trust that you like them a lot and from your edits, you are not willing to lose all of the work you put in. I urge you to vote "Keep", as 3 weeks of work are about to go down the drain! Thanks. Medal template use in non-olympic contextsI noticed when editing a page that uses Template:MedalTopEAA (European track and field (athletics) championships medal table top) that Template:MedalGold, Template:MedalSilver, and Template:MedalBronze have the undesirable side-effect of adding the page to an olympic medal category. So I created new templates just for use in non-olympic contexts: Template:MedalGoldGeneric, Template:MedalSilverGeneric, and Template:MedalBronzeGeneric which don't do any adding to categories. I went ahead and updated all the pages affected by this that I found linking to Template:MedalTopEAA, but I don't know about other non-olympic medal table contexts. (This pertains to your edits on Linford Christie and Sebastian Coe, Baron Coe when you cleaned up the medal tables.) -- Mareklug talk 20:53, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Chronological OrderHey, I'm sorry for reverting your stuff. I had completely missed out on that part of the conversation ... I've put in my two cents about the order of things on the talk page. Sue Anne 02:41, 16 March 2006 (UTC) Olympic conventions debateHi all! The debate on Olympic conventions has been moved and is now under the auspices of WikiProject Sports Olympics/Olympic conventions. We are now trying to decide what to do with all of the data that has been collected and start some sort of "governance". Image Tagging Image:BronzeMedalSmall.gifThanks for uploading Image:BronzeMedalSmall.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Re: Olympic-rings.png removed from your user page An image or media file, Image:Olympic-rings.png, has been removed from your userpage or user talk page because it was licensed as fair use. Wikipedia's fair use policy states that fair use images should only be used in the article namespace. As a result, although users are often given a great amount of latitude in the type of content that is allowed on their user pages, it is requested that you abide by this policy. Feel free, however, to add images and media files licensed under other terms. For more information, see Wikipedia's fair use policy and an accompanying essay on the removal of fair use images. Thank you for your cooperation.

Unified Team FlagHey, I noticed that we've both been removing Olympic Rings images all over, and so I was wondering what you thought about using Image:Flag of the Olympic Movement.svg as the 20px flag in pages like this. I feel that since the IOC let this entity use the Olympic Rings, then it should be free in this sense, i.e. only when the Rings are representing the flag that represented the Unified Team. But I don't know enough about copyright issues to make this decision. What do you think? tiZom(2¢) 03:57, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Your question at WP:HDImage tagging for pictures of productsI was just looking at the page for Milky Way candy bars (just hungry, I suppose...), and I noticed that the picture Image:Milky Way Wrapped.jpg was tagged as Public Domain. I know this is incorrect - is there a tag for pictures of products? I looked at the list of image license tags but couldn't find it. I'm certainly no expert on copyrights. If possible, could someone get back to me on my talk page? Thanks! tiZom(2¢) 04:03, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:City of Cranston RI Seal.jpgThanks for uploading Image:City of Cranston RI Seal.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:05, 24 September 2006 (UTC) Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBotSuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. No, I never heard from the admin, Alkivar, and I believe he also simply deleted my message to him on his Talk page. However, the good news is that the last I checked the bios for Laura Bennett and Uli Herzner were reverted by other users. I now consider Alkivar to be abusing his authority as an admin to be deleting articles in this way. Crunch 01:14, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
