The Call-Girls: A tragi-comedy with prologue and epilogue is a book (ISBN 0-09-112550-2) by Arthur Koestler. It is really about an academic scientists who constantly travel from one scientific conference or international symposium to the next. As the group meets together this time, they struggle to analyze the reasons why humans seems to be so self-destructive. From the jacket: "the jealous, suspicious, aggressive members of the group analyse the jealousies, suspicions, and aggressions which threaten to destroy us all."
