CSI: Miami is a spinoff of the popular CBS network series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Like the original CSI, CSI: Miami is a police procedural about a team of forensic scientists. It is set in Miami, Florida in the present. Filmed in the United States, the series has been exported to over a dozen countries worldwide.

The team investigate mysterious and unusual deaths to determine who killed them and how, and also solve other serious crimes such as rape.
