You deleted H. Wayne Light as an uncontested prod. Could you take another look at the article? His development of a tool for deciding which children to hold back in school and his work with the police may make him notable. TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 10:12, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

thanks

thanks for telling me,that article was proposed to be merged with SSI so i just merged it with it.--xaozon 14:23, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Coghead

I was referring someone to a page we created for our company "Coghead" and found today that it had been deleted, apparently by you? Can you fill me in on the protocol for deletion? Why was the page deleted? We spent considerable time trying to follow whatever protocols we could find for creating a "stub" and I don't understand why it would have been removed. Can you retrieve the page for us so we can fix any problems there? --Smitter1

Sorry, I am not inclined to restore it because Wikipedia is not an advertising platform.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 21:12, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is exactly why we went to some effort to research the protocols, and provide nothing but facts, and avoid any marketing speak. Literally there was hardly any text at all on the page as we are merely trying to register the company as a stub on Wikipedia so people can find it and learn a little about what we do. Was the page worse than this example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meebo? Can you point me to some guidelines that explain the basis you had for removing it? Please restore the page and let us know how to improve it. That would be much more helpful. --Smitter1
From the "Not" page, under "Advertising". "Articles about companies and products are acceptable if they are written in an objective and unbiased style. Furthermore, all article topics must be third-party verifiable..." The Coghead submission meets all of these criteria. Let me know how to fix, if needed. --Smitter1
Well, you can't really write an objective article about yourself. If it were notable, someone else would be writing about it.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 00:22, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage design

Leave it all to me, dear Adam :) Any preferences regarding color, layour, or something else? Otherwise, I'll just do whatever I see fit - and no complaints allowed! ;) J/k, if you just want me to beautify it, tell me please, and we can enhance it further afterwards, k, hun? Big big hugs, Phaedriel The Wiki Soundtrack! - 21:30, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do as you please to my page. If you have any content suggestions or anything, let me know. Thanks again :)--Kungfu Adam (talk) 00:27, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The user/ip 70.115.211.122 has been making some quite disruptive edits recently, mostly personal attacks [1] [2] [3]. I see you have blocked him in the past so you should know more about what to do with him. Thanks. Aranherunar 12:53, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have given the user a warning. He or she hasn't edited in several hours.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 13:34, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't personally attack anyone, not even the pseudo "attacks" that pass for "attacks" here on wussypedia. Please refrain from fabricating lies, or falling for the fabrications of others. YOU need to learn the difference between attacking a position and attacking an individual. And honestly, some of these people could use a good reaming, if it weren't for the fact that anything remotely negative is viewed as an "attack" I would be even more confrontational. Make sure I've don;e what you claim I've done before you threaten me again.

Thank you

American Scientist Open Access Forum

Why did you delete my entry for the American Scientist Open Access Forum on 4 July 2006?

Stevan Harnad

It was proposed for deletion for notability concerns. Please sign your posts with four tildes. This helps the automated process archive this page.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 02:56, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What does "notability concerns" mean? Try googling "American Scientist Open Access Forum" and you will get 156K hits. Harnad

deletion of second nature recordings article

Hi there. You've deleted the article on second nature recordings due to an uncontested closing warning which lasted five days. sorry if i'm not understanding it right, but is it correct that if noone responds the article can be deleted? In my view, this seems a little drastic. Second nature recordings is a label which has put out a fair amount of records and is well reputated. Isn't it a shame that it wont be on wikipedia just because noone has stood up for the article? Please let me know what you think and if it's just me being unfamiliar with wikipedia policies. Thanks! My RfA

Hey Adam, just a quick note to let you know I withdrew my RfA at 13/11/10. Hopefully by the time I pop up on RfA next time I'll have some more experience in AfDs and other WP: areas. Thanks for your neutral :) --james(talk) 11:38, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks

Goldom's RFA thanks

Thank you for your support on my RFA, which closed successfully this morning with a result of (53/2/1). I've spent the day trying out the new tools, and trying not to mess things up too badly :). I was quite thrilled with all the support, both from the people I see around every day, as well as many users who I didn't know from before, yet wrote such wonderful things about me. I look forward to helping to serve all of you, and the project. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. -Goldom ‽‽‽ 04:39, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just saw this article go up for AfD. You removed the prod stating that "prod was contested", but there was never a prod on the article as best as I could tell. (There was a speedy tag on the 2nd edit, removed on the 3rd, however, but that's not a prod) Did you mean to contest the prod yourself, or were you removing it administratively as an invalid prod? It may have never needed to go up for AfD if the prod had acted out. Kevin_b_er 07:26, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Email Notification Upon prod?

Greetings, just noticed that the article for Go Nuts Donuts was deleted on the 9th of August just today (14th of August) when I was about to update it with the new details from the company. As I have no problems as to why it was deleted, I just want to note that I didn't received any email notification of an edit/prod/deletion when it was first marked as such, and for that, I wasn't able to defend the article within the 5-day limit (even though I have my preferences properly setup to send me email - and the watch this page checked for the said article). Or am I mistaken (please correct me I'm wrong) and there was not supposed to be any email sent to the article author or those who checked it for watchlist? Thank you very much, just looking for clarification. More power. --- Laibcoms (talk | Contribs) 08:47, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss this at WP:PROD in the the discussion area. I have been trying to get a bot going to notify creators of articles, but it has come with some resistance. It is impossible and time-consuming to notify people of an upcoming prod. Please also read this- [4] and comment if necesary. This request is supposed to fix this very problem, but it doesn't look like it will pass. If you would like, comment there.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 10:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion appeal

Hello there, As a regular user of Wiki, i edit and construct the odd article, I created the article 'mad mental motor missions' based around apopular annual event held in the shetland islands around summer time. I have recently discovered this has been deleted by you, and i was wondering why you saw fit to delete the article?

Thanking you meantime Ivor

I am sorry, you will have to give me the exact article name, including correct capitalization, because I can't find it in the log. I delete hundreds of articles per day that were proposed for deletion, so please give me something better to go by.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 12:28, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion appeal

Hello again, the article is named Mad Mental Motor Missions thanks again Ivor 14/08/06 1440 hours

Restored according to policy, but sent to Articles for deletion. I doubt it will survive. Also, please sign your posts using four tildes.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 13:52, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion appeal

Hi, The Bitweaver article has been entirely re-written to address content, notability, copywright, and any self-promoting language. Could you please restore it? --Spiderr 14:26, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's still no evidence of notability that I can fathom. --Dweller 15:20, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please nominate it for a second deletion.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 15:22, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have nominated it on WP:AFD--Kungfu Adam (talk) 15:37, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. --Dweller 15:53, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Superfoods

I noticed you deleted the Superfoods article that I created. Do you know where I could find the articles for deletion debate about that article? Thanks. jengod 20:46, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was proposed for deletion on 7/13 for the reason- It's nothing more than advertisement.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 21:12, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Genetics - The Half-Life² Modification

Hello, I am wondering why you deleted "Genetics - The Half-Life² Modification"? Because other Modification for Half-Life2 are on the Wikipedia and mine is no different Thanks, Sythen

It's nonsense. This is an encyclopedia, not a personal webpage.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 21:55, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Independent Anglican Church, Canada Synod

Hi Adam, I was the creator of Independent Anglican Church, Canada Synod. Recently the link to it on my userpage went red. I had not even known it was up for deletion, and then I checked and saw that indeed there never was a deletion discussion. How exactly was the article deleted with neither my knowledge nor a deletion discussion? Carolynparrishfan 02:04, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was proposed for deletion with the reason of Non-notable small town break-away church.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 02:07, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion appeal

The Case of the Speluncean Explorers was deleted almost immediately after I posted it. I do not believe it met the criteria for "patent nonsense" even though it was bare bones. The article was posted in response to a direct request (see Requests, Law. --SteveHFish 03:04, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you revert Talk Page

Hi, Please don't revert talk page or at least declare the other wikipedians. Because we put some coment for each other there and any reversion interfere our work. I put current discussion at the end because there is a current debate. Thank you.--Sa.vakilian 04:25, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was on vacation for a week and Niagara Framework was deleted. I thought I addressed the concerns.

This article has been deleted twice now; you were the last to do so, under CSD G4. Now the article has been recreated again, and I tried twice to speedy it under G4, but someone has removed the speedy in both instances... Does this have to go back to AfD?? I think people should not revert the talk page of an article

Hi Kungfuadam, I saw your revert on Talk:Accession of Turkey to the European Union and forgive me when I say that I find what you did really inappropriate. As you know, the reason for that page to exist is to give people a common place to talk about the article. The practice of reverting applies to Wikipedia articles (where people are trying to maintain an encyclopedia article), not article talk pages (where people express their views on the situation of the article and how it might be improved). One cannot simply "revert" what people think and what they have to say. Regards, Atilim Gunes Baydin 23:28, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nokado Battle Royal - AfD needs close

Hi, I noticed you deleted Nokado Battle Royal after prodding. However, it was prodded after AfD (I put the AfD tag, but someone else prodded it) and the AfD is not closed. Could you close it please? ColourBurst 01:59, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since someone put it on AFD, I had to restore it, but I put my delete vote in.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 02:03, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion appeal

On August 7th you deleted the article BreakmanX.com. Your choice to deleted was apperently uncontested, but I am unsure as to why it was up for AFD to begin with, or why you deleted it. I created this article as a fan of the site and it's community and I think it is encyclopedic material. The article was also not of poor quality in any manner. Could you please restore it? - ZakuSage 04:20, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
