Andreas Feininger (1906-1999) was an American photographer of German heritage born in Paris, the son of the painter Lyonel Feininger.

He was made famous by his photographs of New York City. He was a staff photographer of Life magazine.

He wrote comprehensive manuals about photography, of which one of the best known is The Complete Photographer.
