Christopher Turk
Dr. Christopher Duncan Turk (most commonly referred to as "Turk") is a fictional character played by Donald Faison on the American sitcom Scrubs.
Profile
Chris Turk is J.D.'s best friend and former college roommate, diabetic, a resident surgeon, and is married to Carla. His college fraternity was Theta Omega (ΘΩ).
Though he and J.D. have a very close relationship (to a point where they are often considered by the other characters to be a couple in their own right), Turk is uncomfortable being emotional around other men.
Relationships with Other Characters
J.D.
Although he hangs out with stereotypical surgeons, like The Todd, and is considerably more athletic than J.D., Turk shares J.D.'s geeky/goofy humour; for example they both enjoy dancing 'the robot'. J.D. likes to tell people that Turk's middle name is Duncan because his father liked doughnuts, while Turk tells people that his cousin is Tiger Woods. He and J.D. own a stuffed yellow Labrador named Rowdy. When they have a robot, they will name it Tupac (formerly Gizmo). J.D. is Turk's best man.
Carla
Married to Carla in series 3, they have been together since the beginning of Scrubs. Carla became pregnant in series 5.

- His cell phone number is (916) CALL-TUR, although he hopes that people will dial the 'K' anyway. Fans who dialed the phone number have found a voice mail message from Turk or Carla announcing that Turk was out, but would be back at the start of the next season. This voicemail has recently been changed to one including Ted, a recurring character.
- At college, Turk completed a minor in Psychology ("Her Story II")

Nicknames: Gandhi (by Dr. Cox), Turkleton (by Dr. Kelso), Turk Turkleton (by a drunk Dr. Kelso), Brown Bear (by J.D.), Chocolate Bear (by J.D. and sometimes Carla), Mocha Bear (By J.D), black whale, SCB (Super Chocolate Bear), Negro Amigo, Baldie, T-Diddy, Butt-Face (when he almost had surgery to remove his mole and replace it with skin from his thigh), Baby (more a term of endearment by Carla) and Superman (a nickname that led him to be afraid of getting ill, especially when he discovered he was diabetic).
