Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU) was formerly known as University of Jodhpur and is situated in Jodhpur city in Indian state of Rajasthan. Established in 1962 it took over the four colleges of Jodhpur run by the State Government:

  • Onkarmal Somani College of Commerce
  • Savitri Phule Mahila Mahavidhyalaya
  • Mahesh Mahila Mahavidhyalaya
  • Jai Narain Vyas Mahila (P.G.) Mahavidhyalaya
  • Adarsh Mahavidyalaya

The University has :

  • 5 faculties
  • 42 teaching department
  • 6 affiliated colleges
  • Library and Research Facilites
  • Departmental and faculty libraries.

The Institute of Evening Studies provides instruction leading to bachelor’s degree to persons in full-time employment.

Hostels : 15 hostels for students in the university including a separate hostel for girl students.

Sports : Four Football grounds, three Hockey grounds, and Four Basketballs court 15 Volleyball courts. Three Cricket pitches, Badminton courts a Swimming Pool and a Clinder Track.

JNVU Jodhpur's New campus is located on the new Pali Road.It takes care of the Sceince streams.
