Vegetable juice is a popular drink the world over. Vegetable juice is an alternative to fruit juice and is usually healthier, given that it contains less sugar. Most commercial brands do however contain a large amount of sodium.

Vegetable juice cannot be made from every vegetable like fruit juices. Vegetable juices are usually made from carrots, pumpkin, and tomatoes (the tomato is actually a fruit but commonly referred to as a vegetable).
