GayVN Awards
The GayVN Awards are an annual awards event for the gay pornography industry first held in 1998, and annually since 2000.
The year on the list is according to date of the award show. For example, 8th GayVN Awards were held Thursday, March 9, 2006 for the movies that were made in 2005.

Gus Mattox Performer of the Year, Best Picture Tie at 8th 2006 Annual GAYVN Awards held Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the RAGE Nightclub.
Michael Lucas' Dangerous Liaisons and Chi Chi LaRue's Wrong Side of the Tracks 1-2 tied in the Best Picture of the Year category at the GAYVN Awards held at Rage Nightclub in West Hollywood tonight. Wrong Side, the evening's major winner, also won trophies in six other categories including Best Director (LaRue), Editing (CH), and Videography (Hue Wilde).
Johnny Hazzard, Wrong Side's star, scored a triumph with three wins: Best Actor, Sex Scene (with Tyler Riggz), and Solo Performance. Roman Heart was named Best Newcomer.
Dangerous Liaisons won in three additional categories: Best DVD Extras/Special Edition, Screenplay (Tony DiMarco), and Supporting Actor (Kent Larson).

2005 Gayvn Awards
Buckshot Productions' BuckleRoos 1-2, nominated in 18 categories, was named Best Picture of 2004 and won 10 additional awards making it not only this year's big winner, but the most honored movie in GAYVN history at the 7th annual show at the Rage nightclub on Thursday, March 10 2005.
BuckleRoos also snagged trophies in the following categories: Best Director (John Rutherford and Jerry Douglas), Actor (Dean Phoenix), Videography (Todd Montgomery), Editing (Andrew Rosen), Sex Scene (Dean Phoenix, Marcus Iron), Threesome (Marcus Iron, Sammy Case, Timmy Thomas), Music (Nicholas Pavkovic, Rock Hard), Non-sex Role (Zak Spears), Marketing Campaign, and an unusual two-man Solo Performance (Ricky Martinez, Arpad Miklos).
Tag Adams was named Performer of the Year and Eddie Stone was voted Best Newcomer. Best Leather Video, Art Direction, Packaging, and DVD Extras awards went to Titan Media's five-disc Horse: Fallen Angel 5.
Rascal Video's Bolt was named Best All-Sex Video and also took awards in the Group Sex and DVD Special Edition categories. The Best Renting title of 2004 was Jet Set Productions' American Porn Star. Jet Set's Wet Palms 1-3 won in the Best Sex Comedy and Screenplay (Jack Shamama and Michael Stabile) categories.
Chi Chi LaRue hosted the event for the third year in a row. This year's program included a performance by Jackie Beat.

2004 Gayvn Awards
Jet Set Productions' The Hole was named Best Video of 2003 at the 6th Annual GAYVN Awards held Thursday, March 11, 2004. The awards show, attended by nearly 300 gay XXX industry guests, was held at Rage nightclub in West Hollywood, California.
Prior to host Chi Chi LaRue taking the stage, a filmed welcome was shown on the club's big screens in which one of the famous drag queen's nipples was exposed, in a parody of the Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction," to the great delight of the crowd.

2003 Gayvn Awards
The 5th GAYVN Awards were held on May 8 2003, at Rage Nightclub in West Hollywood. The night’s big winner was White Trash (MSR Videos), which won an astounding nine awards after being nominated for a dozen. Their awards included Best Sex Comedy and Best Screenplay. Deep South: The Big and the Easy (Falcon Studios) and Cowboy (Big Blue Productions), which both came in with 10 nominations each, skipped off with six and one, respectively.
Cowboy’s trophy went to Caesar who tied for Best Actor with Josh Weston (who appeared in Deep South). That title also won Best Gay Video, Best Director awards for Chi Chi LaRue and John Rutherford and Best Group Scene.
In the studio race, MSR Videos walked out with 10 awards at the end of the night. Falcon Studios came in a close second, with eight awards, while Rascal Video won five.
The GayVN show was noticeably slimmed down from previous years, but the participants were no less enthusiastic. Even after a dinner of prime rib or turkey and every color of fruit and vegetable imaginable(not to mention the open bar), stars and industry bigwigs were cheering throughout the night. Lead by Chi Chi LaRue, who, by the way, accepted the Best Director trophy with unimaginable humility and grace, the crowd laughed and cried (tears of joy, of course) as the winners were announced.

AVN honored the gay pornography industry's finest at the first annual GayVN Awards held on December 4, 1998 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. All the major players in the gay business attended the event, including Chi Chi LaRue, Falcon's Jeff Palmer, Rod Barry, Director Kristen Bjorn, Vince Rockland, Drew Andrews, Derek Cameron, Kevin Glover, Dino Phillips, Wash Wes, Kurt Young, David Thompson. Also attending, legendary director William Higgins, who was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame and has not made a public appearance in over a decade.
