Frank Sartor

Frank Sartor is an Australian Labor Party (ALP) politician in the state of New South Wales, Australia.

Sartor is currently a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Rockdale, Minister for Planning, Minister for Redfern Waterloo, Minister for Science and Medical Research, and Minister Assisting the Minister for Health (Cancer).

Prior to entering the New South Wales parliament, Mr Sartor served on the Council of the City of Sydney from 1984-2003 and served as Lord Mayor of Sydney for nearly 12 years from September 1991 to April 2003. During his time on council he served as Vice President ,Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, Chairman of the Sydney Festival, Chairman of the Central Sydney Planning Committee and Board Member of the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.

Frank Sartor has been and still is a controversial politician.

His political career beginning with the Newtown Residents Group.

Throughout his political career has displayed an autocratic confrontational attitude which some refer to as a bullying style , which has been compared by many to equivalent to that of MUSSOLINI , NAPOLEON and other such dictators. He had a very successful relationship with Mr Greg Maddock , whom he appointed as the CEO of Sydney City Council. Mr Maddock later committed suicide during an investigation into his arrangements with Energex Queensland
