Edwin H. Land
Edwin Herbert Land (May 7, 1909 - March 1, 1991) was an American scientist and inventor. He founded Polaroid and invented the Land Camera which bears his name. He invented the first filters capable of polarizing light. He helped design the optics for the revolutionary Lockheed U-2 spy plane. He is known for his Retinex theory of color vision.
