Jim Gurnett
Jim Gurnett was a politician from Alberta, Canada.
Jim was elected in a by-election for the Alberta New Democratic Party in Spirit River-Fairview after, party leader Grant Notley died in a plane crash. He was defeated in the 1986 Alberta general election running in the new electoral district of Dunvegan, after Spirit River-Fairview was abolished.
In 2004 he was awarded an Alberta centennial medal as an "Advocate".
He currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta.
He is the Executive Director, Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers.
