Sorry...

Sorry about that mistake on the deletion box for Fat ugly people. It was a typo. aido2002 21:41, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was a bit puzzled why you replaced my speedy deletion template with a different one for no apparent reason. No big deal though, as long as there's one up there. -- Steel 21:47, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Steel, don't worry you're using 1.21 (it says 1.2 in the header but you'd be warned of you hadn't upgraded). Describe "not much happens" in more detail if you can. Also, try this; load Internet Explorer and log into wikipedia before booting VP up Look forward to your reply - Glen TC (Stollery) 10:55, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

False alarm, it's sorted now. -- Steel 15:45, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spam

Well, I had a look. Spam in external links isn't something I usually obsess about. WP:SPAM just gives some cautionary tips to people to think through their intentions about why they are adding links; I would just nicely ask the user if he thinks his wiki is notable enough. It doesn't look like it's Wikimedia though, just "inspired by" Wikipedia. CanadianCaesar Cæsar is turn’d to hear 10:58, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiknowledge

I am just linking to what was the b:Wikibooks Pokédex (check the link), which was linked to from every Pokémon article from the Infobox. The Pokédex was moved to my wiki after Jimbo ordered the deletion of all videogame guides from Wikibooks. Gerard Foley 11:09, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just letting you know what the situation is. It's only fair that the people who wrote all this stuff know where it has all moved to. Gerard Foley 11:53, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

Sorry about that WW2 thing, I just wanted to see if anyone would notice... Someday my curiosity is going to get me into a lot of trouble :) -- Gumby701 22:28, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How did you notice it anyway? While I have been here over a year, I'm not that active... -- Gumby701 22:34, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Should have thought of that... Gumby701 22:42, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about?

I got a message from you that says not add links to a commercial site of my owm. I did no such thing. The link I added was to a non-commercial site that is not mine. 71.133.170.101 18:55, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sotc

You are not improving this article. Your reasons for deleting that section are shaky at best - plenty of observations in that article are not supported by the developers, yet they are quite key to the article. That section may be badly written, but that does not mean it should be deleted just because one person thinks "it is complete nonsense". How about you rewrite it instead of deleting it in the name of improvement?

And regarding edits, it is quite lazy to change 1 word in a sentence and call it an "improvement" especially when you skew the author's original intent. I don't consider an additional sentence fragment that added a spelling error and made the sentence/paragraph as a whole ten-fold more awkward as an "improvement". If you think you can improve on something, rewrite the entire paragraph, or at least the sentence. Thank you. Schicksal 16:30, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have done a nice job of misreading my reply. Seems like you tend to give these things a good once-over before summarily judging them. I didn't say it was key to the article. It is however quite interesting, and if you think that the relationship between large and small in this game is not an important theme in the game, you are just being dense. The section states: "Throughout the game, objects evoke themes of contrast between large and small". Are you telling me this is not the case? If that's unverified, then we might as well delete all reference to Agro being a horse.
And as for verifiability, if you think any specific FACT in that section is false, then feel free to remove/revise it. If you believe it is in violation of that policy, you should be prepared to judge every single other element in the article by that same yardstick. Your revision summary didn't mention that policy originally, and I rather doubt that is really why you would like it to be deleted - you just think it's nonsense. I would like to ask you to improve on sections you think are nonsense, rather than deleting them. Make them more sensible(and by this I mean rewrite it, don't just change 1 word). Thanks. Schicksal 16:49, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How so? I think you are being too rash - we should cite a developer interview stating Agro is a horse before moving any further. The relationship between large and small is pretty much the entire point of SOTC, it wouldn't really be the same game if Wander was the same size as Malus, for example. The section states many very clear parallels, it is not just madeup "nonsense". I agree with you that it's not very well written, but it can hardly be improved if it is deleted + a section regarding a theme does not become unverifiable just because no developer has confirmed it - one must merely load up the game. Weyard map

So I uploaded this map of Weyard and am putting it into the Weyard article. Since it was found on Google, could you check it for licensing? That's assuming you know more about copyright business than I do... Thanks. Erik the Appreciator 18:56, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it can be found on this google page. It's the map that's at 1727 x 1254 pixels, and it says "Golden Sun Harmony". Erik the Appreciator 19:10, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if you're not successful, it wouldn't matter because actually this Japanese map has folds in it, and they actually aren't all that prominent on the page, so in the very near future I'll reupload it with a manual scan of my Eglish map. Erik the Appreciator 19:21, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, the folds wouldn't be hard to blur out. I've done a lot of Photoshopping myself, so I'll see what I can do. I expect to have a fully fixed image uploaded into the page in about a few days. Erik the Appreciator 19:31, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, like what I have now posted on Weyard's talk page for everyone to see, the image will be replaced by a manually scanned English map by myself in due time, so that current (off-limits) image won't be around for too much longer. I'll have this done good. Erik the Appreciator 19:37, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay! I have the new version uploaded as Image:GSWeyard2.jpg, and am lettimg the original be deleted. Now, if you're aware of copyright issues and such, could you help me find the right licensing with the new image? And not just you: Anyone who knows about copyrights will be appreciated. Erik the Appreciator 01:56, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, the most proper image is now Image:GSWeyard3, which is now uploaded into the page. Okay, so basically I'm now letting the previous two images be deleted. They would be deleted within 7 days of their uploading anyway, so I think that issue would take care of itself. Thanks for your time with me on this one! Vandalism Reverts

Your help with reverting the vandalism on Tata Consultancy Services is much appreciated, however, in the future please remember to warn the vandalizing user by using the test templates. Warning a user is almost as important as reverting the vandalism itself, for many times the user does not realize that he or she is doing anything wrong. Thanks.--SomeStranger(t) 12:29, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it was partially my error as well. I got confused with the IP numbers and thought that the user you reverted was the same one that I reverted. Still, warning is always important.--SomeStranger(t) 12:38, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the plot is incredible - but the music is one of the best parts. I bought the OST on Amazon recently, and it's great - my character (not drawn by me) has hair that's based loosely on Ramirez. Don't you just want to see him turn good? —Xyrael / 21:24, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, not a problem. Prepare to be pounced on when the holidays start (or not). —Xyrael / 21:45, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More Golden Sun images

I just found this site which has some screenshots that I could use for the Golden Sun article. Do you think I could post some of these screens without violating anything? Erik the Appreciator 22:43, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, basically, those three images I uploaded into the page were all I was planning to do from the other site; They're important to the article because they illustrate what using Psynergy in the field looks like, what the brunt of battle looks like, and what a summoning looks like, all important for the uninitiated to see visually. With that done, I'll now consider how the text around these images can be reordered/refined/rewritten to best supported and be supported by these images. All help appreciated! In responce to your deletion warning:

I am working on the page, I have to go through about 8 years of company emails and history to make a complete account of the rise and fall of a company that helped shape broadband Internet as we know it. I think the story and the facts need to be kept alive so that other can understand and perhaps avoid the downfall of many of the to dot-com boom companies.

And yes I am also a direct source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.141.8.8 (talkcontribs)

Portugal National Team

I assume my edit was removed as I am British. I find this discrimatory and unfair. My edit was entirely factual. The teams constant diving and referee harassment has been condemned from many quarters not only the English. If only positive editing is allowed then an unbalanced and inaccurate definition is the only result. I believe the Portuguese played well throughout the tournament but they marred their achievements with constant attempts to cheat which should be brought to people attention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.156.133.81 (talkcontribs)
