Puppy pile
Puppy piles are the term given to the gathering of a number of people for the sole purpose of consensual non-sexual cuddling. Often called a cuddle party, the puppy pile is opportunity for adults to enjoy the healing nurturing touch of affection without sexualizing it.
Participants come to cuddle, nuzzle, nestle, snuggle, wrestle, tickle, giggle, play, and share massages in a safe and monitored environment where tops and bottoms must remain on at all times and no contact can be made without prior approval from the cuddlee.
The term is derived from the practice of new-born puppies who generally sleep intermingled together for warmth and comfort. [citation needed]
Philosophy
The central tenet of the cuddling philosophy is that adults retain the same physical need for touch they had in their early childhood. Proponents believe that it is possible, and therapeutically beneficial, for adults to engage in non-sexualized touching.
