Roadrunner Records
Roadrunner Records is an independent record label, concentrating mainly on nu-metal music - the screamcore and nu-punk subgenres being the most represented. However, they gained prominence in the early 90's as being a primary distributor of mainstream death metal artists. Some consider their switch of band types to be a fall from grace. The label was originally called Roadracer Records. Roadrunner is distributed by the Universal Music Group through a share of the label owned by The Island Def Jam Music Group.
Some of their most successful artists include Cradle of Filth, Machine Head, Nickelback, Slipknot and Killswitch Engage
