Vaclav Drobny (born September 9, 1980 in Melnik, Czech Republic) is a footballer and defender currently playing for Sparta Prague.

Drobny was the captain of the Under-21 Czech Republic team and debuted for the senior team against Japan - though he failed to secure a spot in Euro 2004.

Drobny has also played for Jablonec (on loan from Sparta) during the first half of the 2005/2006 season, RC Strasbourg, and Chmel Blsany. He also spent the 2004/2005 season at English giants Aston Villa, but left having failed to make a single first team appearance. In December 2003, Drobny tested positive for morphine; he successfully argued that it had come about from the use of the legal drug codeine.
