update

added various sections. some issues still, i want to find more info on the history, i remember having read interviews on certain creators of the game listing it as their favorite, others about the musical score, still others that could just be references to the game. I don't think i wiki-ed enough either, but it's a start. there were some shaky parts, so i hope you guys can help correct!

we also need the entire musical score section itself. Lockeownzj00 19:04, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

oh damn me! i forgot all about that blonde kid character, is it karen? curu? crap. must know so I can update! Lockeownzj00 20:16, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Her name is Krile in all versions. Thanks for updating this article. — DarkEvil 13:34, August 11, 2005 (UTC)
Actually, her name is Cara in the fan translation. --Dalkaen 02:59, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

Question regarding the following line:

Final Fantasy V was the last Final Fantasy game to use the concept of elemental crystals as a plot device.

Wouldn't FFIX discount this? --DjSyndrome 13:26, 22 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the FF9 "crystals" weren't very crystalline, nor were they elemental. (At least, they never describde them as such in the game's dialogue. You might be thinking of the advertising phrase "The Crystal is back!" which appeared on the back of the box, even though the crystal most certainly was not back.) I haven't played FF11 or Crystal Chronicles, but the closest thing I've seen to the elemental crystals was in FFTA, but those most certainly weren't elemental. The crystals in FFCC weren't elemental; they were protection devices. If FFXI doesn't have elemental crystals, then the "last game w/elemental crystals" thing is accurate. Eowynjedi 21:30, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Release date's "TBA" for Gameboy Advance

Maybe November 3?? People at school should discuss this date, it's just MY suggestion for when it should officially be released, it's late in the year and would make a wonderful Christmas present!! Should also be released like FF Anthology was the PS1, with FF4 and FF5 in one collection!!

X-Death SHOULD be always referred to as "Exodus"

I remember from FF Tactics Advance that there was an enemy (what were Race-exclusive Summons officially called in FFTA anyway??) called "Exodus" (create for him an article called Exodus_Final Fantasy, it's in the bible, and it sounds more professional. "X-Death" just sounds like an immature name to me

It doesn't matter what "sounds more professional": what matters is what the majority of our target audience is going to recognize as the character's name. "X-Death" was used in the only official English translation of the game (and "Exodus" has never, to my knowledge, been used in an English localization of the game). To be blunt, "X-Death" is "more professional" than "Exodus," because it's the name adopted by Square's localization team. The Totema reference in FFTA is interesting, but hardly conclusive, seeing as how it's a cameo at best. In any case, X-Death/whatever hardly deserves a seperate article to begin with. – Seancdaug 04:13, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FF9 Crystals

Maybe in Disc 4, Kuja could, in fact SHOULD say (AFTER you beat Deathguise but BEFORE you face HIM) something like:

Kuja "In this world, there are four elemental crystals, eight if you count the elements of Ice, Light, Dark and Lightning. Each has its strengths and weaknesses over other crystals. I knew if I could access the crystal's memory, I would have power over all souls"

Zidane "Power over all souls...I remember two other people saying something about that. I think their names were...Kefa and Stepharoth or something. But we're here now Kuja, and we'll defeat you no matter what you say otherwise"

<The battle against Trance Kuja begins here, but he has MUCH stronger stats, AT LEAST 300,000HP now>

(this is a sidenote, do not include in the game, but the elements Holy and Shadow should in FF9 be renamed to Light and Dark, Shadow is a THIRD force and rebellious one, which imitates aspects of Light and Dark, of which Beelzebub Supreme is the lord, hence his theme song Lord of Shadow which is like Sephiroth's One Winged Angel)

Better reward for beating Omega Weapon!!

Should be a sword obtainable in FFTA and FFV ONLY called Masayumi available only to Viera Assassins (FFTA) and Thief/Ninja class (FFV)!!
