Johnny Jackson is an African American musician, noted for being the drummer for The Jackson 5 from their early Gary, Indiana days until the end of their famed career at Motown. The label presented Jackson and keyboardist Ronnie Rancifer as the cousins of Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, Michael, but neither Johnny Jackson nor Rancifer are related to the Jacksons.

Johnny was found stabbed to death at a house in Gary, Indiana on March 1 2006. He was found with a stab wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. There has been no motive given for the crime.
