Booty is something both valuable and acquired by force or daring. The proceeds of criminal activity are sometimes referred to as booty, especially from piratical exploits. Historically, booty included plunder (from an enemy), loot (from piracy), or a prize (won by daring).

In contemporary slang, booty may refer to the buttocks of either a specific female or females in general, as well as sexual intercourse. The term is also used as a reference to women in blaxploitation films of the 1970s. A popular quote with the word booty used in slang form is, "It's my duty to please that booty!"
