Vano Merabishvili (Georgian: ვანო მერაბიშვილი) (born 15 April 1968) Mr. Ivane Merabishvili was born in 1968 in village Ude, Adigeni Region.

In 1992 he graduated from the Technical University of Georgia, Faculty of Mining.

In 1992-1995 he worked in Technical University of Georgia and in Agrarian University as a laboratory assistant, chief laboratory assistant, assistant and junior research officer.

Since 1995 he is the director of the Association for Protection of Landowners' Rights[1]. In 1996 he was one of the co-founders of Liberty Institute.

In 1999 he was elected as the Member of Parliament of Georgia.

Since 2000 he was the Chairman of the Committee On Economical Policy and Reforms, since 2002 he is the Secretary General of the National Party of Georgia.

Since January 26, 2004 to June 7 he was National Security Advisor to the President of Georgia - Secretary of the National Security Council

Since June 7, 2004 to December 18 he was the Minister of State Security of Georgia, on December 18, 2004 he was appointed on the post of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

He speaks English. He has a wife and a child.
