Joseph Mark Trohman was born on September 1, 1984 in Hollywood, Florida, but grew up in the Chicago suburb of Winnetka, Illinois. He plays guitar for the band Fall Out Boy. He is credited as "the guy who started FOB (Fall Out Boy)" by band member Pete Wentz. Trohman introduced his friends, and now current Fall Out Boy bandmates, Pete Wentz, whom he had played with in previous bands, and Patrick Stump, whom he had met in a bookstore when they learned they had a common interest in the band Neurosis.

  • Trohman is dedicated Star Wars fan.
  • Pete Wentz describes him as "the glue that holds it all together".
  • His nicknames include "Duckhunt," "Trojan Man," "Trohmanator" and "Trohmania," given to him in reference to his hyper activity onstage.
  • He is a fan of the The Smiths and Morrissey. He has a tattoo that says "The queen is dead," in reference to the album by The Smiths, as well as one that says "Viva Hate," in reference to the Morrissey album of that name.
