Charter airline
Charter airlines are the companies which usually provide passengers to touristic spots where international passenger airlines won't usually offer regular flights. But charter airlines also operate to the most of the world's major touristic destinations.
They benefit the airline industry because, as a consequence of of these airlines' services, many medium sized airports worldwide can survive, with the airline landing fees they get from the charter companies.
Many passenger airline companies set up a charter division and viceversa. In addition, some Cargo Airlines have chartered a few passengers on their jets every once in a while.
Usually, charter airlines operate to take passengers to cities where a cruise ship is awaiting them, to fly members of some tour package group to beach or historic towns, or to take members of a company, the military or sports teams to a destination.
