Kaitaia is a town in New Zealand located at the base of the northern most peninsula on the North Island. It is approximately 150km north of Whangarei.

The town serves as a refreshing point for tourists heading north towards the capes and as a base for the local forestry ventures of Juken Nisho.

Kaitaia is also the birthplace of computer gaming superstar, JP.
