The Sea and Cake, is a rock band, formed in Chicago, Illinois. The groups name comes from a willful reinterpretation of "The C in Cake", a song by Gastr del Sol. Groups related to The Sea and Cake include Tortoise, Shrimp Boat, Isotope 217 and the Chicago Underground Duo. Additionally, members Sam Prekop and Archer Prewitt have each released multiple solo albums.
