Hello and thank you for using Wikipedia! This space is a shared message area for a lot of people who also use AOL. You can get your own message space by creating an accout. Click "create account" on the top right of your screen - you don't have to submit your email or anything. Also, unless you're editing Christopher Paolini all these warning (probably) have nothing to do with you. Edit away and have fun. Feel free to ask me any questions. Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. Benon 08:23, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LEAVE ME ALONE

STOP MAKING LIES ABOUT ME! I HAVE NOT SEEN WIKIPEDIA IN 5 MONTHS!!!!! YOU GUYS HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN TO SAY I AM VANDALIZING YOUR PAGES! GET A LIFE! I HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING TO YOU! MAYBE SOMEONE HACKED MY COMPUTER! I DONT KNOW, AND I DON'T CARE, BUT SAYING THAT I VANDALIZED IS JUST PLAIN SAD, YOUR ALL DISGUSTING! AND NEED TO GET A LIFE! GET OVER YOURSELVS!

There are many, many people sharing your account because you use AOL there are other people who have the same internet address as you. With so many people there are bound to be a few people who get legitimate warnings. You should get your own personal account - that way you won't get other people's messages. You can do that by clicking "create account" in the upper right corner of this page. Wikipedia doesn't even take your email - getting an account is pretty fast and painless. And I agree that this sort of thing should be made clearer to users on joint IPs - I've seen too many confused people. Cmouse 08:43, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't vandalize

As they say in the movies, "ooh behave". Seriously, though, we are trying to write an encyclopaedia here, so don't make joke edits. Some readers looking for a serious article mightn't find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. OK?
