Born 12th September 1938, Long View, Texas, U.S.A. Gloria Jones recorded the 1964 northern soul classic "Tainted Love", later a hit for the UK synth-pop duo Soft Cell and Marilyn Manson. She was also the girlfriend of T. Rex singer Marc Bolan. She was in T. Rex in 1973-1977
