Shiro Azuma (東 史郎 Azuma Shiro, 1912-2006) is a Japanese former soldier who admits his participation in warcrimes against Chinese in the Second World War, including the Nanjing Massacre.

In 1987, he published his diary written during his time in China, which portrayed in detail the atrocities of Japanese Imperial Army that has been covered up by the Japanese right-wing forces.

He died on January 3, 2006 in Kyoto.
