Blackpool North and Cleveleys will be a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

The seat has been created by the Boundary Commission for England following its review of parliamentary representation in Lancashire.

Boundaries

Following the review of parliamentary boundaries, the existing seat of Blackpool North and Fleetwood (UK Parliament constituency) is to be abolished. The new seat connects Blackpool's northern half with Cleveleys in Wyre.

The electoral wards in the new seat are;

  • Anchorsholme, Bispham, Claremont, Greenlands, Ingthorpe, Layton, Norbreck, Park and Warbreck from the Blackpool Unitary Authority;
  • Bourne, Cleveleys Park, Jubilee and Victoria from Wyre Borough.

Election Results

This seat will be fought for the first time in 2009 or 2010.
