Howdy Mailer! Thilled as I was when you blocked the above vandal, I've been thinking that maybe an indef block is too harsh. Maybe reduce it a bit, or remove the block? It's been nearly a month... Not that I'm trying to get in the way of how you do things, and I'm grateful that you blocked him at all, but it's just been on my mind. But please don't take this as my meddling with the way you admin, and if you think that the block should stay then by all means, leave it be. I don't have the slightest problem with that. Thanks for the clarification. I've reverted {No source} tags — I had applied the tag because the image summary didn't explicitly state the picture has been created by the uploader himself/herself. Merely applying a copyright tag normally isn't complete enough; the reason the particular tag has been selected needs to be stated. Re: Bus Images

Thanks for that! I'm not particularly familiar with Commons, so that was very helpful. I (obviously) had no problem with the images themselves, but I feared they were taking over the articles and becoming more "photo albums" than encyclopedic entries. I certainly have utmost respect for the quality of the photos and the captions, and would quite happily browse through them, but at the end of the day Wikipedia is where people come to learn and find out, so it has to be set for the whole audience. --Ayrshire--77 13:08, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Deleted article redirect

Mailer, I've been running through broken redirects for a while now, and I see a number of them are simply leftovers from deleted articles. Someone has attempted to circumvent the deletion of the article Robin Artisson by posting a sour grapes diatribe-- apparently from the subject of the non-notable article-- on the former article's talk page, which this person re-created in order to post. I "reverted" the edit by blanking out the talk page. You might want to remove the talk page again via a speedy delete. -- SwissCelt 04:48, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
