In InuYasha, the manga and anime series by Rumiko Takahashi, Kouga is a wolf-demon who is in love with Kagome, the principal character. Inuyasha and he hold a rivalry over Kagome's affection. He is also betrothed to Ayame, of the northern wolf tribes.
