Ice-Cold in Alex is a movie made in 1958. It would be considered part of the adventure/war genre.The movie takes place during the second world war in North Africa. It is about about a group of soldiers and nurses who travel across the deserts of North Africa. The leader of the team (Captain Anson) dreams of his ice cold beer when he reaches Alexandria, which gives the movie its title.

It was directed by J. Lee Thompson and written by Christopher Landon who wrote the novel and then the screenplay for the movie.

The film was also released as Desert Attack (1961) in the USA.
