Pakistani Americans are Americans of Pakistani origin.

According to the US Census, as of 2000, approximately 200,000 people of Pakistani origin lived in America, comprising less than 0.1% of the total United States population. Approximately 35,000 live in New York City, primarily in the boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn . Pakistani Americans are mainly Muhajir's (Indian Muslims who immigrated to Pakistan) rather than the Punjabis who are the native (as it were) inhabitants of Pakistan and most of the immigrants in the UK and northern Europe are Punjabi also.
