Presenter Stephen Cole

Click Online is a television programme made by the BBC covering news and recent developments in the world of consumer technology.

There are 3 editions of the programme. There are two 30-minute programmes, one produced for a global audience and aired on BBC World, and the second produced for a UK audience and shown on BBC News 24 and BBC One after shutdown. The 15-minute version is shown on BBC One and BBC Two.

The 30 minute UK edition is usually identical to the global version, but sometimes has a different editorial.

Thursday 29th December 2005 marked the last edition of Click Online. This is due to Stephen Cole departing from the show after presenting 295 shows.

The next edition, due to broadcast on Thursday 5th January 2006 on BBC World (Saturday 7th January 2006 on BBC News 24) will be simply known as "Click". It will concentrate more on consumer issues and not necessarily about the Internet or what users can do or visit 'online'.

Presenters

The programme's main presenter is Stephen Cole. Kate Russell provides the latest websites that are sent in or she finds herself, previously presented by Sevan Bastajian. Sevan Bastajian is now a reporter on BBC Three. Rob Freeman used to provide the latest website for some time but later stopped and Sevan Bastajian took over from him.

There are also other journalists presenting the programme, whose details can be found on the Click Online website. [1]
