Tim Kasher is a musician from Omaha, Nebraska. He is the frontman of indie rock groups Cursive and The Good Life, both of which are on the Omaha based record label Saddle Creek Records, and before that was in a band called Slowdown Virginia. He made a brief appearence with the Omaha band Commander Venus.

Tim Kasher has a very close relationship with Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes. They both grew up in Nebraska together, went to the same Catholic school, and Tim is even rumoured to have taught Oberst to play guitar. In a Bright Eyes song, Oberst sings, "Tim, I've heard your album. It's better than good." This refers to the album Black Out by The Good Life, released in 2002 on Saddle Creek Records.

Tim Kasher went through a bitter divorce in 2000, providing the inspiration for the CD Domestica.

Cursive also released an EP titled Burst and Bloom on Saddle Creek. In January 2003, Cursive released its most successful album, The Ugly Organ.

The Good Life, one of Kasher's side projects, was originally planned to be a solo project. Kasher wanted to experiment with different types of lyrics and melodies. He released Novena on a Nocturn on Better Looking Records. He then recruited Ryan Fox,Roger Lewis, and Stephanie Droodin into the band and released Black Out, Lovers Need Lawyers EP and Album of the Year.

Kasher is currently writing a new record for Cursive which is to be released on August 2006. The Good Life is also slated to return to the studio, with a new album release expected sometime in 2007.

Both The Good Life and Cursive are considered big successes by critics and fans alike.
