Anya Seton Chase (1906 - 1990) was an American author of historical romances. She was born in New York, New York, on 23 January 1906 (although the year is often misstated to be 1904 or 1916), and died in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, on 8 November 1990; "Chase" was her married name. Her books were noted for how well she researched the historical facts, and some of them were best-sellers.
